Last year, my little princess was a pink leopard. What do you think she should be this year? She is walking now, so a ballerina is definitely in the works…. but I don’t know if she’s too young for it! My eyes light up at the stores when I see all of the cute Halloween costumes for children. The debate has been going on for centuries and I recently had this conversation with some girlfriends during lunch. These women all feel so strongly about their opinions and we ended up in a minor argument. I was frustrated so I decided to give my opinion on here Are you ready??

There are various meanings to the term “Co-Sleeping” The term originated with babies and children actually sleeping in the parents bed. The term has evolved lately and is now used for parents that attach co-sleepers to their bed.

I must say, without stepping on toes, that I have never tried co-sleeping with the baby in bed with me. I completely understand a parents need to be in the bed with their child. I just find it to be dangerous and I was always afraid to crush her in my sleep.

Saying that, I have absolutely no issues with co-sleepers like the ones from Arm’s Reach. Those Co-Sleepers were invented with the safety of the child in mind. I know mothers day isn’t for a few months, but I volunteer at the local elementary school and we always plan for holidays in advance! Obviously my baby has grown out of her cocoon, but I gave this as a hand-me-down gift to a friend and they loved it! I found it at the below site for only $5 shipping which is a steal because it is a large co-sleeper (Most places charge over $20 for shipping!)  My girlfriend loved it and her baby is sleeping soundly. It was a plus that you could remove the protective sheet and wash it (obviously for sanitary reasons)

I am seriously recommending these videos! My cousin plays them for her children and gave me a set to borrow. I put them in whenever the baby is cranky and she is magically “entranced”!! I swear! I don’t feel bad about it because it is extremely educational and I only play one DVD a day. It’s something that we can do together… I sit her on my lap and we watch. Her eyes get so big and she is just taking in all of the colors and objects. Of course, she is way too young to really “get” what is going on but it’s stimulating her mind!
